This month we recieved another note in our mailbox informing us that we've been overpaying our rent by 1 cent. Now, MY copy of the lease says we're paying the correct amount, but aparantly the dipshits in the accounting department who waste the time to inform me twice that i've been overpaying, won't even take the time to confirm what i tried to tell them last month.
here is my prototype note i'm going to leave with my rent this month. all pretty and printed out instead of scribbled on the back of THEIR note =)
Please give this letter to someone who has the reading ability, and comprehension of a highschool graduate.
Regarding the note I recieved informing my roommate and I that we've been overpaying our rent by 1 cent each month: I've taken a look at our copy of the lease, which I'm assuming is an exact copy of the one you have in your office, and we are paying the correct amount. $552 per month for rent and cable. I believe this was changed from the $551.99 a month others are paying because this rent is split evenly down the middle between two people. It's very convenient for my roommate and I to write two checks for $276 considering I doubt either of us can write a check containing half a cent.
I realize it can be costly to take time to record overpayments, but please check your copy of the lease to confirm that it is indeed $552 a month and not $551.99. I would hate to be paying the wrong amount whether if be over or under.
If your copy of the lease is different, then I believe we have a problem.

I'm, of course, thinking about taking out the first sentense since it's pretty damn harsh lol. I'm also onsidering supplying them with an image of that part of the lease.
also, check the post below this... i'm double posting today since i think it's worthy.
