Damage Reduction Initiative Via Everyone Now. I hate corprate slogan trash like that.
on another note, the PS3 will look like this.
Key things to note from that article:
1. Wireless controllers with a new design. hopefully there will be an option to have wired one's ... I'm not opposed to having a wireless one, it's just that i like my original dualshock PS1 controller without that crap pressure sensitivity. And I don't want to worry about replacing batterys or recharging them.
2. It will be using Blu-Ray DVD's but will be backward compatable with PS1 and 2 games. Blu-Ray holds 54GB as opposed to a regular DVD that holds 9.4GB (and cd's which hold 700MB). From what I understand, It's called Blu-Ray because of the color of the laser that reads/writes to it. Basically by using blue which has a shorter wave length, they can write more information to the same surface area of a disc. You can find out more at http://www.blu-ray.com/
3. Cell processor. All I understand about this is that it will be 1 main processor and several (the article says 8) backup processors. The benefit of this is that it will be able to split up certain processes to different processors, much like the graphics are processed by a completely different processor and memory. Hmm, I wonder how much heat that beast will generate =)

| Firefox likes to take 100% width and force it onto a new line, and * width to mean take only as much as it needs. This text is in here to force FF to display 100% the same way that IE does. Ghetto fix FTW! OMG! a hidden counter! Views:
