Warehouse shipping and recieving for a company that provides tools and stuff to jewelery stores. They're also one of the biggest company's on Ebay, in like the top 70. I really don't care, the biggest thing is I won't have to answer calls all day long anymore. When I applied, i had to do a drug test, no problem. Because they do deal in some expensive stuff, they also sent me to a private investigator to take an opinion questionaire and possibly to do a background check.
If you've ever applied to bestbuy or hollywood video or one of several other stores, then you've filled out one of these. This one mainly focused on drug use and stealing from employers and my opinions of certain situations. the only up side was that I got to explain my answers at the end. It turns out that you really need to not read into the question AT ALL, if you "very slightly agree" then most likely you also "totally agree". I think this is the single reason the several applications I've sent to bestbuy and other stores over the years have never returned any fruits... yet almost every time a company calls me in for an interview, I've gotten the job.
If they wanted to just hear if I agree or disagree with a subject, then they should just have two options, agree and disagree. ALOT of the questions depend on the circumstances so I put ALOT of middle ground answers, because I can think of a situation where it would be acceptable or unacceptable.
so in conclusion, the next time you fill out one of those, put more "strongly agree" and "strongly disagree" than anything else. be sparing with your middle of the road answers bestbuy won't call you up and take 45 minutes to have you explain your answers and realize that you're not a total deush bag.
