I feel like ranting about work right now, if for some reason you work with me and are reading my site, please don't take this personally, it's just been a long cranky day for me.
There's nothing worse than stupid people trying to be smart. My system worked perfectly fine while you were using it because I designed it around the idea of you being stupid. Do not think you are smarter than the computer, you are not.
Here's a list of things that mostly don't piss me off, but if I came across them today, I was calling you fucking stupid:
1. The fee you collect, doesn't get rung up into the computer. you were perfectly happy not doing it for the last 12 months, why start now? This doesn't even cover the fact that the way you were entering it for the past 12 months was incorrect, but it was more trouble to try to explain WHY it was incorrect than to just take 2 seconds and fix it myself.
2. Never send checks to me. I AM NOT THE BANK.
3. the item that says "POS Payments" is for POS payments only. Changing the description to "Layaway cancellation fee" doesn't make it a layaway cancellation fee. It makes it the "I'm an idiot" fee.
4. The item that says "Watch pin" it is not for a "Verbal appraisal" you fucking clown barn. I did not spend an entire week working on these numbers so you could just do the same shit you've always done. NO. This is a new system, get it out of you fucking walnut mind that you are still allowed to change the description to whatever the repair was.
5. When A customer comes in to make a payment on their credit account, there are two steps you must do. take their money and record that in the computer, then run their payment through the terminal and record that in the computer. Not brain surgery.
6. Packages. How many fucking times have I told you that we have to have the information in the office on what is in the package, it's value, it's tracking number, and where it's going in order to insure it. THIS IS NOT FUCKING OPTIONAL. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS, YOU WILL BE FIRED!
This is another example of me spending a great deal of time and planning to make this idiot proof to help save some time, money and prevent losses, and yet you go out of your way to fuck it up.
7. This next one baffles the mind. You put an item on layaway and accidentally received $4 in the system, how would you even begin the thought process to "fix" it by adding another item to the sale for $4 and call it a "Reverse Payment"?
REVERSE PAYMENT?! How did you even get dressed this morning? The mental power required to realize this is the ABSOLUTE STUPIDEST thing you could be doing is less than is required to breathe. Jesus Christ! If it was fixed like your note said, than why is the computer still saying you need to deposit $4 that you don't have?!
This last point I only bring up because i actually found it humorous. It made my day a little brighter despite the fact that it was one of the biggest oversights possible.
8. When giving someone a 10% military discount, it is imperative to set the qty of the item to -1 so that they actually get a 10% discount and not a 10% charge.
Well, I feel better now.
oh, one more thing... when forging signatures, don't do it on a massive scale, don't do it on applications that limit your time frame for legitimacy, and don't do it on something that's insignificant.
I find it hard not to take this as a personal insult to think you can get these by me. I caught them the first time you tried it, but couldn't prove beyond a retards wet dream that you had done it. The next time something comes up missing in your store, guess who's getting the polygraph first?
Speaking of illegal activities, some nerds decided to purchase like 8 monthly subscriptions to world of warcraft with my companies credit card in January. Seriously 14.99 a month, doesn't you allowance and/or welfare check cover at least that much?
