For another topic... This is one of those topics I mentioned before, but didn't go into detail about. Our mailboxes being locked.
The year is 2006(?) and the place is a relatively small suburb of Phoenix that shall remain nameless for security purposes. Keith lived on a quiet street with his two roommates. female, sisters, twins. He would check the mail every day after work and all was swell until one day there came a package for one of the boyfriends.
The package contained contacts and was approximately 2 centimeters too large to fit through the hole in the mailbox. He later found out that this package was put into their mailbox because the larger package spaces were all unusable because the keys had been broken off inside of them.

I was actually the one who broke the keys off in the mailboxes because the keys had been jammed in the locks and completely unusable for like 6 months the first one was by accident, the next few were just because I didn't give a shit anymore.
Our home owners association doesn't do shit... out yard looks like crap dead patches of dirt everywhere, huge weeds sticking out of the yard and we've not received any notice whatsoever from them.... i dunno what they even do since they certainly took their sweet time repairing the mailboxes. (a YEAR after I called them about it)
I noticed on our periodic newsletter from them that they spend a hell of a lot on a "courtesy patrol"... aka rent a cop who doesn't do shit. I seriously thought for about 2 minutes of joining the committee who decides what to do with our HOA fee money. First thing I would do is get rid of the courtesy patrol who managed to fail stopping minor vandalism on my car at least 5 times. It was egged once (which happened before to a previous resident according to my roommates), there's a mysterious dent in the hood, a scratch on the door, the antennae was bent sideways, and some fuckwad threw some sort of sauce container all over the windshield.
One day I came back from work and was walking down the street to check the mailbox, only to catch my neighbor chasing a group of 3-4 kids away from his car. They had some towels with something in them and were beating on his car. I almost wish I had the opportunity to kick the shit out of them for all the crap that's been done to my car... but I'm also glad that I didn't do anything rash.
