I got a letter in the mail today from an advertising company... apparently I've been pre-approved for a car loan between 7,500.00 and 31,257.00. anyway, They sent along another card with three scratch off symbols. If I match any three symbols I WIN! yeah... so in the small print there's the odds of winning listed. 1 in 10,000 wins a cool prize (10,000 cash, 2,000 cash, flatscreen tv, portable dvd player) and the last listed prize.... a watch has a 9,996 out of 10,000 chance of winning. hmm.
looks like i've been duped into thinking that I could actually win something of value.... i scratched off the symbols to find that i indeed won! whatever 3 diamonds means... I called the show room and of course they can't tell me anything, requiring me to drive out there.
the sad thing is I'm seriously considering driving out there tomorrow morning because i have nothing better to do. At the very least I'll get a shitty watch I can rant about.
