 I've lived here for 2 years and haven't gotten a chance to go see the grand canyon. So yesterday I did. 4 hours later and a sunburn on only one of my arms, here I am. Funny how a big hole in the ground gets soo much attention.
On the drive up there I got stuck behind a truck passing another two trucks. Midway through him passing the second truck he starts to fall behind and goes all the way to the back where he started. Thinking this was the perfect opportunity to pass all three, i tried to pull ahead. Now the SECOND truck is trying to pass the one in the lead. I don't remember exactly, but I think he failed while a big line of cars piled up behind all of them.
The other cool thing about driving there is the speed limit. 75 on freeways and traffic is pretty much going 80-85 most of the time. 250 miles in about 4 hours averages just over 60Mph. That includes traffic in/around Phoenix to get to my house and the one time i stopped for gas. awesome.
I basically got up, ate a piece of pie, had a redbull, took a shower and packed up the camera and another two redbulls before I left. stopped for gas once on the way there and on the way back, but otherwise I didn't eat anything or goto the bathroom at all until I got back. lol.
